Respond to  An Open Letter To Eritreans
and Ethiopians written by
Awate.com and
Ethiopiafirst.com

From HebreZema.com (Editorial seyfegebreal)
We  have seen the open letter written by both web
sites to the peoples of Ethiopia and Eritrea. In
principle we don't have any objection over that. But it
has to be clearly known that
Hegdf has refused
several times to resolve the border issue through
dialog and even accused the government of Ethiopia
for instigating war.
As you may know , recently the PM of Ethiopia has
clearly stated that Ethiopia will do all means to avert
this war as long as war is not the solution for such
problems. But in the other side the Eritrean
Government didn't show any sign for peace, so in our
opinion a strong message has to be sent to the
government of Eritrea to avert the war. The key to war
is with the government of Eritrea!!
Finally  we want to applause to both web sites for
there effort to avert the cloud of war!!

God Bless people of Ethiopia and Eritrea!!!

First of all, I would like to address him as professor as
I suppose that is his official title. As he conjectures
himself a scholar, I do not want to condescend to his
banal level, very much unethiopian of calling an
Ethiopian Prime Minister by his last name in all his
writings.

Aside from their fascinating features, Ethiopian Pal
talk Forums and Websites in Diaspora began
influencing decision making and its implementation
process in Ethiopia. The power of cyber politics
appears to be dominating the cyber waves, realigning
the political dynamics of Ethiopians in Diaspora. It is
also becoming popular among politicians as well as
the civil society to promote their specific political,
economic or social agenda. We, as concerned
Ethiopians, are duty bound to participate and effect
positive change in the struggle toward peace and

The Tragedy of CUD and Its
Supporters
Mola Reda
Walta Information Center, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

CUD and it supporters have to realize that
empty rhetoric and posturing cannot propel the
process of democratization in Ethiopia forward.
If they are genuinely interested in accelerating
the democratic process, they had better stop
their whining and engage in a constructive
dialogue. Based on how they have been
behaving in the North America and Europe
since their release from prison, however, I
would not be surprised if their next stop is
Asmara to pay tribute to the dictator.

Terrorism double standard?
Samuel Assefa September 28, 2007 Samuel Assefa,
Ethiopia's ambassador to the United States

Washington Times - Imagine for a moment that
a military group - aligned with al Qaeda and
supported by a bordering hostile nation -
slaughtered 74 workers at a business in
America or Europe. How long would it take for
this group to be declared a terrorist
    organization by Western governments and
    widely condemned in the media?

On April 24, 2007, my country, Ethiopia,
suffered just such an attack. Yet Western
governments have not labeled the perpetrators
as terrorist and the media has been largely
unsympathetic. Is there a double standard in
    what constitutes terrorism depending upon
    whether the victims are Western?

Contemporary Colonization and
HR2003

Lobbyists, I believe, have no conscious. The US
    History Encyclopedia defines Lobbies[i], “[G]
groups of individuals acting for themselves or
others who seek to influence the decisions of
    government officials…their tactics range from
    such high-pressure techniques as bribery,
    threats of electoral retaliation…
